Frequently Asked Questions – FAQ’s
Is Westview Cottage pet-friendly?
We’re dog lovers ourselves, but Westview isn’t currently set up for pets. We’ve made the choice to keep it fully non-pet-friendly so it stays spotless and allergy-friendly for every guest who stays after you.
How many people does Westview Cottage sleep?
Westview sleeps up to 6 guests across three ground-floor bedrooms, a king with en-suite, a double, and a twin that can be made into a king on request.
What time can we check in and out?
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is 11am. Our housekeeper needs that window to get everything spotless and ready for the next family. If you’re arriving early, just message us, if the cottage is ready sooner we’ll always try to let you in ahead of time.
Is there parking at the cottage?
Yes, there’s roadside parking right on Main Street, just steps from the front door.
Is bed linen and towels included?
Yes, all linen and towels are provided, so there’s nothing extra to pack or bring.
Is there WiFi?
Yes, full WiFi throughout the cottage, upstairs and a booster downstairs.
Do you provide a travel cot or highchair for little ones?
Yes, we have a highchair, travel cot, and two stair gates available, just let us know when you book and we’ll have them ready for you.
Is the wood-burning stove ready to use?
Yes, fuel, power, and a starter pack are included, so you can settle in by the fire on your first evening without needing to bring anything.
How does payment work?
A small deposit secures your booking, with the balance due 6 weeks before you arrive. You’ll get a confirmation as soon as your deposit is received.
What if we need to cancel?
We completely understand plans can change. Full details are in our booking terms, and we’d always recommend taking out travel insurance for extra peace of mind.
Anything else we should know before we come?
Just that we can’t wait to welcome you. Westview was a derelict old building before we brought it back to life, and every bit of it has been done with love. We hope you feel that the moment you walk in.
What is there to do in the area?
We have created a series of blog posts with suggested day itineraries. There is also our online digital guide where you will find information about the cottages, services, etc., and the local area.
